Workshop overview

This one day workshop has been developed for public sector communications and information professionals who are seeking to understand the impact and potential uses that social media can be put to inside, and outside the organisation. Social media has become synonymous with an innovative organisation, an organisation that listens to what its customers are saying, and addresses it in a real-time dynamic forum. This requires the understanding of a unique set of tools, new types of strategies and quick identification of opportunities and threats.

Cerys Hearsey, the workshop presenter, has considerable experience of designing, configuring and the ongoing management of social media strategies. The day has been designed to be interactive and will focus on real-world experiences and practical techniques. Live social media demonstrations will be used to illustrate and cement abstract topics throughout.
