Workshop overview
HR functions are talking more and more about metrics. As many organisations struggle with balancing growth and stringent cost management, a new space is being hewn out for HR. Key to adding value in these difficult times is making better use of data to bridge the gap between shorter-term operational and longer-term strategic issues. In fact, just using the employee data we already have in a different way can result in HR adding much greater value and generating increased credibility into the bargain. This half-day workshop outlines best practice in HR metrics and sets out some challenges for senior managers in adding tangible business value through measurement. By attending this half-day workshop delegates will find out how to: Use data to provide insight rather than just information Increase the use of data relating to business impact as opposed to process operation Have better discussions with business customers and support partners Apply the skills and infrastructural enablers which make a difference to the bottom lineWorkshop content
Re-engineering our use of HR data and metrics: what are the opportunities and to what extent are we exploiting them? What are some of the current issues? What metrics do we need? Use of trends, ratios, correlations etc Working with data and metrics: making better arguments and working more confidently with macro data (using a strategic workforce planning example) The implications of a revised approach to data and metrics for HR functions and individuals Creating a list of insights and actions to take back into our businessesAbout the Workshop
