About the workshop leader:

Liz Scott-Wilson, Director, Metataxis

Liz Scott-Wilson trained as an archivist and held positions in the New Zealand National Archives in Wellington where she co-founded the Records Management Branch consulting and training service for National Archives in 1988.

In 1997 she founded SWIM Ltd, New Zealand's leading independent information management consulting company. Committed to the advancement of information management principles and practices in the emerging electronic and digital technologies, she moved to the United Kingdom in 2001 to lead the TSO (The Stationery Office) Ltd advisory and knowledge services and information architecture teams.

Liz's public sector involvement includes significant consulting within the New Zealand and UK central and local government. She has been involved in more than a dozen EDRMS projects, including vendor-side and client-side, with experience covering project leadership, needs analysis, functional specification, tender and procurement support, file classification and taxonomy, metadata framework, retention and disposal, access and security, migration, change management and user training.

Her records and information management experience and expertise includes: file classification systems and file plans; audits and reviews; imaging and digitisation projects; training courses, both public and in-house; change management and implementations.
